We Live In Amazing Times

Last year, my kid spent 12+ hours coding his first website with ChatGPT1. He had observed something a friend had made, then produced his own cute and intricate HTML+CSS animation. On his own, he learned to research, plan, execute, and debug.

After he showed me his project, I asked if he wanted to publish it. He said yes, and we deployed it via free Cloudflare Workers.

Today, he spent a few minutes chatting on our self-hosted agent orchestrator running GLM-5.1, and it spit out a full, professional-looking landing page for a non-profit organization he wants to start.

He is delighted that it one-shot the entire site, which would have previously taken hours to build piece by piece.

The AI can take an instruction like "Read this llms.txt guide and deploy the site", and launch an essentially limitless number of static sites. The AI also knows how to add real PayPal links to accept funds.

We decided to purchase a .org domain, then told the AI to update our landing page with email links to info@XXXX.org and volunteer@XXXX.org. Within two hours and about $10, almost all spent on the domain, he produced a working shell of a small online business.

He is now rabbit-holing on refining the cost structure, branding, and images. All by prompting.
