Falling Forward versus One Way Gates
Successful people take risks, grow, evolve, change directions, fall forward.
But there's always a nagging sensation.
Today, I went to upgrade my Groq free plan for higher rate limits, and the screen showed: "Developer tier upgrades are temporarily unavailable due to high demand. We apologize for the inconvenience."
Might as well have said, "Congratulations, you are stuck in the PERMANENT UNDERCLASS"
The mind sees one-way gates everywhere:
if you used version 1.9.2 rather than >=1.93.1, you get pwned
used LastPass instead of 1Password? your private keys are hacked
report your wealth in France rather than hiding it, and your family gets kidnapped
learn AI, or fall to permanent underclass
get on the housing ladder, or get left behind
get coughed on by the wrong person, you die (2019 novel coronavirus, Hantavirus 2026)
